Dress: LOFT
Scarf: Handmade by me

Hello all! I'm back with a life update and some last minute outfits for any holiday party. I've been focused on dealing with some medical situations this month. Everything that is currently happening is altering my life for a while. I haven't had the time or chance to take pictures of holiday outfits until yesterday. I'm hoping that I'll be able to post more on this blog within the next few months because I will no longer be working.

Anyways, I've styled all of these looks based on the new items I've purchased from LOFT. Every item that I'm wearing was less than $20 which is beautiful when you're a full-time college student. My personal favorite outfit is the last one. I have been able to sit down to sew recently and I've been focusing on sewing infinity scarves. The fabric I used for this scarf was only five dollars which is less expensive than the scarves you can purchase in your local mall.

That's all for today! I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

Life Update

Top- Forever 21
Skirt- LOFT
Over the Knee Boots- Gabe's

Hello all! I haven't uploaded in a few weeks due to some of my college assignments. I'm trying to focus on finishing the semester and trying to take care of myself. Last weekend, I had a medical emergency and it has raised my stress level by 200%. I've been trying to focus on relaxing to prevent it from happening again and I may be stuck taking some tests soon.

On a brighter note, I've found some really great deals recently! I was waiting to photograph each item until I get home from college. Look for an upcoming post on the black friday and cyber monday deals within the next week. I hope everyone is doing well!

My New Favorite Discount Store

Sweater: Gabe's
Skirt: Forever 21
Ankle Boots: Shoe Dept

Hello all! I've been focusing on my studies all month. My life hasn't been too interesting recently and I'm just focused on school. One of the reasons I wanted to post today was because I found my new favorite discount department store! For anyone that hasn't heard of Gabe's it's a store that sells discounted goods from larger brands like LOFT, Liz Claiborne, Chaps, Express, American Eagle, and other various clothing labels. As most of you know, I'm a huge fan of LOFT so I was so excited to find their clothes there on MAJOR discount. I know that I'll be making more trips to Gabe's this fall so I can find more fall goodies for good deals.

That's all for today! Head over to my Instagram if you would like to stay up to date with my life!

Life Update

Blouse- Old Navy
Skirt- LOFT
Shoes- Steve Madden

Hello all! I've been swamped with homework, work, and tennis. I'm taking four business classes this semester and I'm a little stressed about that. I've been browsing my favorite websites for new clothes to purchase in my free time. Right now, I'm struggling to balance everything and it has been taking a toll on me.

On the bright side, this skirt is the best denim skirt I've ever purchased and I was so excited to wear it for the first time. LOFT has been my favorite store recently and I find myself on their website every day.

Ethan and I just adopted a puppy and we've been able to spend a lot of time training him due to the hurricane. My town wasn't greatly affected and I hope everyone on the coast is doing okay!

I'm excited to share some of my favorite things with you all in the near future!

How To Shop on a College Budget + How I Saved $500 Shopping Online

Hello all! I'm back after a very long break. Ethan and I have been traveling all over the place and have had some pretty awesome adventures. We've gone shopping, visited the zoo, and met some of my favorite actors. If you would like to see all of our journeys you can head over to my Instagram.
Anyways, I'm going to talk about my favorite stores and how I buy good quality clothes on a college student budget.

Right now, my favorite store is LOFT. They have amazing online deals and I have been spending most of my money on clothes from their online store. Their deals are so good that I was able to spend about $200 on over $775 worth of clothes. Most of the clothes that I bought from LOFT this summer are seen and linked in my previous post. Here are my main rules for buying good quality clothes at lower prices:

#1 Always look at the sale section online. (You can usually find the best deals online and find some good coupon codes)

#2 Search for things that you know you're going to wear. Avoid buying things that you know will not be the most comfortable thing you've ever bought.

#3 Limit the amount of money you pay for each item. Most of the clothes on LOFT.com that I've bought have all been under $15.

#4 Find the best basics you know will be versatile. Find things that will go with clothes that are already in your closet.

#5 Wait until the store your shopping at releases new sale items and additional promo codes.

These are the main rules I follow when I shop online and it has proven to be the most beneficial.

That's all for today folks! I move back into college in a week and I will try to blog as much as I can after I get situated there.

With love,

Summer Clothing Haul

Hello all! I'm back with a post featuring some of my favorite pieces of clothing I've bought within the last couple weeks. I left out a few pieces because it would take an hour to finish photographing every outfit. These pieces are from Banana Republic, LOFT, Birkenstock, Steve Madden, and Kate Spade. I tried to avoid buying anything at full price because I have to prepare my bank account for the impending doom that is college shopping. Speaking of which, I move back into college in exactly a month so there will be a change of scenery.

I turn twenty in a little less than a week and it is hard to believe that I made it through two whole decades. Ethan and I are planning some day trips next week to celebrate my birthday. I'm very excited about our trips and I can't thank him enough for always being willing to go on spontaneous trips with me. I'll be back soon with another post about all of the places we're going.

I'm going to try to link the clothing items that I bought below.

Summer Sales

Blouse- Banana Republic
Shorts- Gap
Sandals- Birkenstock

Hello all! I'm coming back to you with a post including some of my most recent purchases. I have bought quite a lot of clothes recently from places that I never shop at because of their summer sales. Like every college student, I'm constantly on a budget so I hardly ever buy quality items for myself. Some of the stores I never get to shop at because of their less affordable prices have been having their summer sales over the last couple weeks. I stopped by a Gap in Charleston and was able to find some of my favorite pieces in my closet. They were having a good sale so I splurged a bit. When Ethan and I returned home from Charleston, we went shopping the next day in hopes of finding some good items. I picked up these Birkenstocks and some awesome pieces from Banana Republic during their 4th of July Weekend Sale.

I purchased some more goodies during a flash sale on Loft and I'm super excited for those items to come in. All of the pieces I've been purchasing have been under $40 and I'm constantly on the hunt for some more summer sales. I may post a haul of everything I purchased soon.

That's all for today! I should be back soon with another post.

When In Charleston

Hello all! Ethan and I returned home from vacation on Thursday but I haven't been able to sit down and write a blog post about our trip. We left out Tuesday morning and toured Fort Sumter and went on a ghost tour of the USS Yorktown. We highly recommend this ghost tour because you get an up-close glimpse of all of the boat.

On Wednesday, we woke up and headed downtown to find a place to eat breakfast and do a little shopping. We stopped at this crepe restaurant called Breizh pan Crepes. The crepes there were fantastic and we knew that we would have to come back before we left Charleston. Our next stop was the Charleston City Market which was too crowded to even enjoy. We headed out to the Brown Dog Deli for lunch and enjoyed being able to get out of the heat for a bit. After that, we returned to our Airbnb and headed down to Folley Beach. We spent a couple hours there but left out early due to a storm.

On Thursday, we went back to Breizh pan Crepes to try some of their sweet crepes which were amazing! After that, we headed to the Charleston Museum and the Joseph Manigault House to do some last minute touring before leaving Charleston. After enjoying some greek food, we went back to the Kate Spade store on King Street for me to do some last minute shopping.

Overall, our trip was great! Our Airbnb was nice and we really enjoyed how well decorated it was. We have even made the decision to travel back to Charleston in December in order for us to relax and enjoy the place without touring every historical structure in site. If you would like to catch up on all of the things we did and see a couple videos of where we stayed, you can check out my Instagram here.

As always, I'll be back in (hopefully) a week with a new post. I hope everyone has a good and safe 4th of July!

My Go To Purse

Handbag: Kate Spade
Shirt: Old Navy
Shorts: Old Navy
Sandals: Jack Rogers

Hello all! It has been a little while since my last blog post. This Kate Spade purse is definitely the best purchase I have made recently. I purchased this bag online several months ago and was able to score it for just $80 off the Kate Spade website (it was originally $200). It is by far the best everyday purse I have ever had and I am able to fit about all of my life essentials in it. If you know me in my daily life, you know that this bag is always by my side.

I'm currently preparing for my trip to Charleston because we leave out tomorrow. I'm super excited about the amazing things I'm going to end up seeing over this short vacation! We've got a fun day planned out tomorrow and will be visiting some historical landmarks + finding the best place to eat dinner in Charleston.

I can't wait to share my journey to Charleston with you all. I may try to post on the daily so I am not absorbing too much content at once.

Things to Look Forward To

Dress- Forever 21
Ankle Boots- H&M

Hello all! I'm back with another post. The dress I'm wearing is by far one of my favorite dresses I bought in high school. I used to always accessorize with a belt to make it a little more fitting but I wanted it to be a little flowy this time. I've always been a fan of florals and this dress just has all of my favorite qualities. The ankle boots I'm wearing are one of the biggest staples in my closet because I love to add a little bit of height to my short stature. This outfit is one of my favorite outfits I've put together.

I have some exciting news for all of the upcoming posts I'm going to write this summer. I leave for Charleston in about three weeks and am staying at one of the prettiest Airbnb's I could find. I've been looking at numerous travel guides to make sure I find the best places to visit during my 72 hours in Charleston. I went thrift shopping with one of my best friends from high school so expect a thrifting haul in the near future. I have a ton of clothes that I've bought over the last couple months and want to do a collective clothing haul. I am so excited for this summer and all of the potential posts I can come up with. What are your summer plans?

End of the Second Chapter

Shirt- Thrifted
Skirt- Forever 21
Shoes- Nike

Hey all! I've been stressing about finals for the last couple weeks and I'm glad to say it is finally over! I'm going to spend this summer working while sipping coffee, reading the best books I can find, and hopefully traveling or taking a few day trips around North Carolina. I actually have a fun trip planned with my boyfriend next month and I'm super excited about that!
I'm excited about all of the picture taking opportunities I'll have on our mini vacation.

This shirt is probably one of my favorites and I'm always a little happier when I put it on. This was a $1.99 score at one of the best Goodwills near my college. I can never get tired of these Nike's and they are by far one of the most comfortable shoes I own!

I'm also selling some clothes over on my Poshmark and if you would like to shop my closet you can find it here.

I look forward to posting very very soon!

After taking the quiz, Warby Parker shows you glasses that suit you and you can select five pairs to be sent to your house for you to test out! This process is free and you are able to select the frames that you want to purchase online! You can send them your prescription and receive prescription glasses for $95 and up.

Warby Parker offers a wide range of eyewear for men and women. I included some pictures of my favorite glasses in their Summer 2018 Collection. I recommend checking out their collection here. I know I will definitely buy a pair from their newest collection!

Fur Vest and Snow

Top- Forever 21
Fur Vest- Gift
Leggings- Forever 21
Boots- Steve Madden

Hello all!

I've been busy with tennis, work, and school. These pictures were taken a long time ago and I'm just now able to post them up on the blog. We received a minor dusting of snow today and it makes me wish we saw the same amount of snow as our last snow. I'm ready for winter to be over with and I'm more than willing to accept the warmer weather.
This outfit has been one of my favorite outfits of the winter. I've had these Steve Madden boots since my sophomore year of high school and they have yet to fail me during our winter storms.
Tennis season has just begun and the blog posts are going to be extremely spaced out until mid-April. I'm going to try to be on here as much as I can. I hope you all are hanging in there after our rough winter weather.

With love,

Carmen xx
